How to Clear Your Browser Cache

A simple guide to fix common website display issues

📖 5 min read💡 Troubleshooting

Why Do I Need to Clear My Cache?

Your browser saves copies of websites (called "cache") to load them faster. Sometimes, when we update our website, your browser shows you the old saved version instead of the new one.

🔍 Signs You Need to Clear Cache:

  • • You see old labels or buttons that should be updated
  • • The website looks different from what others see
  • • New features aren't showing up for you
  • • The page looks "broken" or missing parts

Quick Method: Hard Refresh

The fastest way to fix cache issues is a "hard refresh" - it forces your browser to download the latest version of the page.

💻Desktop Browsers

🌐

Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge

Windows/Linux: Press Ctrl + Shift + R

Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R

🦊

Mozilla Firefox

Windows/Linux: Press Ctrl + F5

Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R

🧭

Safari (Mac)

Press Cmd + Option + R

📱Mobile Browsers

🤖

Android (Chrome)

  1. Tap the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right
  2. Select Settings
  3. Tap Privacy and security
  4. Tap Clear browsing data
  5. Select Cached images and files
  6. Tap Clear data
🍎

iPhone/iPad (Safari)

  1. Go to your device Settings (not Safari)
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari
  3. Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data
  4. Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data

🔧Complete Method: Full Cache Clear

If the quick method doesn't work, try a complete cache clear. This is the most effective method.

⚠️ Note: This will NOT delete your passwords or bookmarks. It only clears saved website data.

1

Open your browser settings

Usually found in the menu (three dots or lines) at the top right corner

2

Find "Clear browsing data" or "Clear history"

Usually under Privacy, Privacy and Security, or History sections

3

Select "Cached images and files" ONLY

Uncheck other options to keep your passwords and history safe

4

Choose time range: "All time" or "Last hour"

"All time" ensures everything is cleared

5

Click "Clear data" or "Clear"

Wait for confirmation message

Reload the Lwandle Finance website

Press F5 or click the reload button. You should now see the latest version!

🆘Still Having Issues?

✅ Try a Different Browser

If clearing cache doesn't work, try accessing Lwandle Finance from a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) to see if the issue is browser-specific.

✅ Use Incognito/Private Mode

Open an incognito or private browsing window. This doesn't use cache, so you'll see the latest version immediately.

✅ Restart Your Browser

After clearing cache, completely close and reopen your browser before visiting our website again.
